   She’s not waving in that picture. She’s holding up 5 fingers, signifying that that’s the number of power stations worth of public money she and her family have stashed into their private bank accounts. Meanwhile the rest of Bangladesh look on lovingly at their surrogate mother figure.

   Because she’s worth it!

   […] يقول الناس لا يوجد يوم ممل في الحياة السياسية في بنغلاديش. في صباح اليوم الباكر من 3 أيلول قامت الحكومة المؤقتة المدعومة من قبل العسكريين بالقبض على رئيسة الوزراء السابقة خالدة ضياء بتهمة الفساد.تم اعتقال ابنها أيضا لنفس التهمة. لدى مدونة كيف تعلمت أن لا أقلق [انكليزي] معلومات تفصيلية للأحداث التي أدت إلى اعتقالها. من الغريب إن حادثة الإعتقال تم بثها في التلفزيون بعد تسريبها حيث تجمع الصحفيون حول منزلها وقاموا بمرافقة قوات الأمن. قبل منتصف الليل رفعت دعوى ضدها تتهمها بإساءة استخدام سلطتها ومنح إبنها عقود في شركة محلية عندما كانت في السلطة. ويقبع في السجن أيضاً إبنها البكر ويواجه اتهامات بالفساد. وسوف تشارك خصيمتها السياسية ورئيسة الوزراء السابقة شيخ حسينة في زنزانة مؤقتة في مجمع البرلمان. حيث إنها أيضا في السجن بتهمة الفساد. ويقبع في السجن أيضاً عشرات السياسيين ورجال الأعمال البنغلاديشيين بسبب المعركة التي تديرها الحكومة ضد الفساد وتطهير السياسة ببنغلاديش. وتظل بنغلاديش في حالة طوارىء منذ 11 كانون الثاني 2007 عندما تم تشكيل الحكومة المؤقتة. توجد لدى المدونين البنغلاديشيين مشاعر مختلفة. المدون Shafiur [انكليزي] الذي يدون في imperfect|world|2007 سعد بسماع الخبر وبدأ بتوزيع الحلوى على شبكة الانترنت. ويكتب: “هي وإبنها KOKO لم يكونا صريحين عن نشاطهما المالي ونرجو أن يتم مساعدتهما ليصبحا أكثر شفافية في جناح خاص يخصص لهما.” […]
