The American market is very important for Bangladesh, and despite the expected competition from China, Bangladesh specialises in certain niches and will hold its own hopefully. There are all sorts of multipartite initiatives to preempt the scenario you have outlined above. The Ethical Trading Initiative is a major player in this in the UK.
