I don't know his institutional affiliations currently but he is a man well worth watching and reading. I'd filed it away before I was a regular on the Bangladeshi blog circuit and had completely forgotten about it. Is this Azfar sir from NSU by any chance? I ask because I went to a lecture on Chicana literature by him at NSU. What shone through was his love of literature and Marxism alike. Having read your bio, I'm a bit loathe to add that while I found him excellent on the literature and its political significance, his purely political asides were not nuanced enough for my liking.
